What is the prostate gland?
The prostate gland is a male gland existing in the pelvic between the symphysis (front side) and the anterior wall of the rectum (posterior side) and surrounds the bladder neck and posterior urethra (upper side) and down side the pelvic diaphragm. The prostate gland divided into five lobes: anterior, posterior, peripheral (left and right), and middle lobe.
The prostate gland consists of 30 to 50 alveoli’s and fine fibers muscles (1/6 of the prostate volume) and connective tissues (1/4 of the prostate volume); the connective tissues don't have blood vessels then don't have blood supply because these tissues become reservoir of microbes.
The prostate gland has double function the first function is endocrine because the prostate secreted into the blood unstudied secretion. The second function of the prostate gland produced the prostatic secretion where the sperms continuing their live. The prostatic secretion is rich with enzymes and necessary elements. The prostate gland is rich with neurons which passed the sexual neurosigns from the sexual organs to the erecting centers,
The prostatic diseases are:
The most common is chronic prostatitis is divided into bacterial nonbacterial, viral, fungal prostatitis, the infection coming to the prostatic tissues through urethra and blood and lymph fluids.
The infection transmitted to the connective tissues into the prostate gland where no blood supply is because the antibacterial treatments are not effective.
BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) The prostate pressed toward the bladder neck and posterior urethra which caused urinary dysfunction in elderly men.
The clinical signs of the chronic prostatitis are:
-different types of pain in the perineum, suprapubic area, lower back, and colon.
